Hispanic Culture Refresher (Pre-Req: 2 day Latinxs in the U.S)  

Required Pre-Requisite: 2-day Latinxs in the U.S (formerly known as The Effects or Impact of Hispanic Culture)

Course Description:

The purpose of this refresher is to better understand why Latinxs migrate to the United States. In addition, you will learn about the impact of migration on everyday life of migrants in the United States. 


Course Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to:

 

1. Better understand reasons why people decide to migrate to the United States.

2. Recognize the potential consequences of migration from a behavioral health perspective.

3. Apply strategies to culturally enhance services.  





Target Audience: Open to General Audience, however this training is specifically targeted for delivery to Spanish Speaking Programs and only required to be attended by those AIC staff working with Spanish speaking clients.
